L'Arche CHARTER

The Charter of L'Arche was accepted by all the communities of the Federation in 1993.  It names our aims, our fundamental principles, and aspects of our identity as an International Federation of faith communities.  It unites the 135 communities in 36 countries with a shared sense of vision and spirit.  It calls us to hope and to strive for solidarity in a divided world.

The communities of L'Arche want to be in solidarity with the poor of the world, and with all those who take part in the struggle for justice.

"Happiness is living and seeking the truth, together with others in community, and assuming responsibility for our lives and the lives of others."
